The PTA is a partnership between parents and educators who strive to enhance student learning and enrich the lives of our students within Lincroft Elementary School. Most importantly, it is a forum for parents to obtain knowledge and voice opinions on what is happening in your school.
It's not just about writing a check or sending in money. Yes, fundraising is an important and integral part of the PTA. The funds raised by the PTA help support the enriching in-school programs, field trips, sports equipment, state of the art technology and supplemental educational materials we all want for our children. Fundraising enables the PTA to provide what the school district does not provide. But there are many ways participate in "free" fundraisers that earn money for our school.
The PTA is about so much more than fundraising. It's about being a part of your child's fleeting elementary school experience.
Make friends. Make memories. Make a difference.
The number ONE REASON to join the PTA is to benefit your child. In doing so, you also help your school. Look at some of the things available to your child only because of the PTA efforts, fundraising and parent involvement:
Here are just a few more advantages to joining the PTA:
A Better Student: Research shows that children whose parents are involved in their school make better grades and have fewer disciplinary problems at their school.
Get Connected: There is no better way to know what's happening in your school. As a member, you will receive informative emails and the opportunity to be in the invaluable school directory. Both privileges will keep you connected and informed.
Discover Great Resources: The PTA offers a variety of resources and information designed for parents as well as students.
Tap into a Network: Parenting is not easy - it helps to share ideas, concerns and experiences with other parents and educators. PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, building rapport and discussing relevant issues.
Watch Yourself Grow: By volunteering with your PTA you gain valuable experiences. It's an opportunity to put your skills and hobbies to good use for a good cause.
Speak Up: Because the PTA is a forum for exchanging ideas, you are encouraged to make suggestions. The PTA can be a way for you to more effectively make changes and improvements in your school and your town.
Witness Improvement: By getting involved at Lincroft Elementary School you will be a part of the solution, helping to make positive changes.
Be a Role Model: Set a good example for your kids by being involved yourself. By becoming a PTA member you are demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education, community and civic duty.
